Thicker than most dermal fillers, Radiesse is made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite microspheres that provide immediate volume to the face when injected. They continue to work thereafter by stimulating collagen production, which helps tighten the skin. The microspheres are eventually absorbed by your body, leaving only natural collagen in place.
Radiesse initially adds volume, but then – as collagen production slowly increases – it begins to smooth out wrinkles, fine lines, and folds. This means that, in addition to the immediate results you experience, you will continue to see improvements for several months.
Like most dermal fillers, Radiesse does not treat one single issue, but it is especially well-known for its volumizing effect. If you have more severe fine lines, wrinkles, or folds, your practitioner may recommend Radiesse over other fillers to correct these issues.
